Introducing the female Physiotherapist Yoggeta Rawatt at Above & Beyond Physiotherapy, who will be available for consultation at all of our locations- Laverton, Point Cook and Werribee- from 1st August 2019. She has over 6 years of experience and can converse in English, Hindi and Marathi. She is a Pilates and Yoga Instructor and also practices Meditation and Mindfulness. In addition to this, Yoggeta has a special interest in women’s health and offers rehab for women’s health issues like incontinence, back pain post-pregnancy and also pregnancy related Pilates and Yoga classes.

After graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Physiotherapy at MUHS, India in 2013 she worked for two years in a hospital and at a private practice. She managed musculoskeletal, post-surgical and sports injuries. She was in the top 1% of 600 applicants to receive an international scholarship, the New Zealand India Sports Scholarship, in 2015 and pursued Postgraduate Diploma in Sports Physiotherapy from University of Otago, New Zealand. She migrated to Melbourne in 2016 and since then has diversified her expertise by working at a private practice, aged care and corporate company providing on-site Physiotherapy services. She is also an Australian Physiotherapy Association certified Occupational Health Physiotherapist and is skilled in dealing with on-site work, health and safety issues.

Dr Kamal Raman Above and Beyond Physiotherapy

Physiotherapist, Kinesiologist

Dr Kamal Raman grew up in California, USA where he completed his degree in Kinesiology at California State University. Kinesiology has a strong grounding in physics of human performance. It includes the understanding of how muscles, nerves, bones and the mind interact to achieve a physical task. Dr Raman found his studies to have a vast application in assessing the changes in human movement after injury (relevant to muscles, joints, nerves) and helping people to return to normal function. He feels that this insight of the human movement helps him achieve excellent results with his patients.
During his studies at California State University, he tutored Anatomy, Athletic Training, Biomechanics, Biology, Chemistry and Exercise Physiology. He was awarded membership to Sigma Alpha Lambda, National Leadership and Honors Organization. His passion for travelling led him to New Zealand where he pursued further studies and gained advanced entry into the Physiotherapy program at University of Otago. After completing his degree, he practiced in New Zealand in 2016, then moved to Melbourne in 2017 and has been practicing here ever since.
Dr Ramans’s years of experience ranges from helping patients in hospitals to get their arms and legs moving again after surgery, athletes’ injury management on-field and off-field, getting people to learning how to walk properly after motor vehicle accidents, helping people recover from injuries sustained at work and those recovering from a various types of muscle, joint, and nerve conditions.
